FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Mon 30 Mar 2015

As the weather becomes increasingly Spring-like, our thoughts have turned to the importance of 'first impressions'.

You may not give much thought to your front door as you dash in and out of the home, but if you are planning to sell your property, please take the time to stand and stare at it, to see how it will appear to potential buyers.  A neat and tidy front door is a very important factor, and so it is well worth while to consider if a tidy up is called for.  Freshening up the paintwork is often worthwhile, together with buffing up or replacing any metal signs and fittings.  Cobwebs under the porch are not an attractive feature, so a Spring clean may be a good idea too.

Now is the ideal time to put some planted pots outside, whether a colourful display of pansies or daffodils, or even a stylish pair of topiary box trees.

This lovely house in Normanhurst Avenue, Queens Park, Bournemouth is a great example of how good a first impression can be.  The rest of the house should not disappoint either, as you can see from further details here.
