RETIREMENT PROPERTY

Fri 06 Oct 2017

We've noticed a trend of older property buyers being interested in retirement apartments as an easy place to 'lock up and leave'. Ideal if you want to spend a lot of time away, but need a base to return to. Whilst there are service charges and ground rent to pay, the capital purchase prices of 'secondhand' flats tend to be lower than mainstream residential flats.

Typical age restrictions are that the buyer has to be over 60, or if a couple one over 60 and one over 55. As 60 is the new 40 these retirements flats may be getting a new lease of life as younger owners move in........

We currently have a first floor flat available to buy in Park View Court, which some say has a wonderful grand hotel feel. The spacious flats have lovely views over the extensive well-maintained communal gardens and Bournemouth town centre and the beach are approximately a 15-minute car or bus ride away. Some of the benefits of living in such a retirement flat are: -

  •  A resident property manager and an emergency call system
  • A lift, communal lounge, laundry room and guest suite
  •  There are regular social activities which include: coffee mornings, afternoon teas, lunch outings, supper/music evenings, bingo, quiz and film nights
  • No more worrying about external maintenance and gardening, its all taken care of

If you feel such a change in lifestyle could suit you,  please call us on 01202 524252 or email info@paulwatts.co.uk to discuss further and arrange an accompanied viewing – so that we can show you all the benefits available
