BUDGET 2021

Wed 03 Mar 2021

The Chancellor has today announced that the Stamp Duty Holiday - where no Stamp Duty is payable on a property purchase up to £500,000 (for your main home) is extended to the end of June 2021.

There may still be time to take advantage of this by putting your home on the market as soon as possible, but better ACT FAST as the high demand in recent weeks has put a lot of strain on the conveyancing and mortgage systems.  Choosing a very efficient solicitor and lender can help but time is very much of the essence.

One extra item announced by the Chancellor is that the starting rate of stamp duty will be £250,000 until the end of September, then reverting to the usual level of £125,000.
