Area Guide

From our prominent office in Charminster Road, we are happy to deal with properties over the wider Bournemouth area.  We are perhaps best known for selling homes in Queen’s Park and Charminster, widening out into Throop, Winton and Moordown too.  More recently we have been spreading our wings and have sold properties in Southbourne, Boscombe and the town centre.

Bournemouth has a wide range of facilities and amenities to offer, including seven miles of award-winning beaches, a vast variety of shops and restaurants, countryside offering peaceful walks, beautiful gardens and various sports on offer (especially watersports).  It is a fantastic location to buy property - be that a first time buy, a family home, a peaceful retirement property or an investment property to rent out.

Each area of the town has its own character.  Mention Queen’s Park and most people will think of the parkland itself, which also has a renowned publically owned golf course.  Charminster has a cosmopolitan flavour, with an eclectic mix of cafes, restaurants and smaller, more independent shops and businesses.  Both areas benefit from the excellent range of local schools, including the two grammar schools.

Moordown and Winton are both centred around the excellent shopping area of Wimborne Road, with green space provided by Redhill Park and Winton Recreation Ground (where the very popular annual Winton Carnival is based).  Our Leigh plays cricket for Winton Ladies and more recruits are very welcome!

Southbourne and Boscombe are more about the seaside vibe, but keen shoppers will find a variety of shops, cafes and bars, including the Boscombe market and restaurants such as Roots and The Larderhouse in Southbourne.  There are several regular events, including the Shake’N’Stir vintage festival in July.

Throop is a more rural location on the edge of town, with a mix of modern executive homes and older character properties, all very ciose to countryside and riverside walks, yet not too far from the very popular Castlepoint Shopping Centre and local schools.
